Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of the Gaarsia platform operated by Gaarsia Academic Advisory. By creating an account, subscribing, or using MyGaarsia you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Company imprint and regulatory contact details are in the Company imprint section below.

About Gaarsia

Gaarsia Academic Advisory provides a subscription software platform for postgraduate preparation toward European Master's pathways. We help candidates assess readiness, research programmes, prepare documents, and organise application and relocation workflows. Gaarsia provides evidence-based preparation, not placement. We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, or visa outcomes. Recommendations are professional guidance, not legal or immigration advice.

Subscription plans

Gaarsia currently offers three monthly EUR subscription plans billed through Stripe: Pathway Core (€29/mo) for Pathway Screening, Pathway Score, discovery tools, and related exports; Pathway Pro (€49/mo), which includes everything in Pathway Core plus extended profile, Pathway Pro roadmap report, unlimited program search, AI document studio, application kanban, deadline calendar, AI assistant usage limits, and dossier export; and Pathway Elite (€69/mo), which includes everything in Pathway Pro plus relocation workspace tools, embassy package export, logistics monitoring, housing alerts, expanded AI limits, and Alumni Ambassador access. Feature details, usage caps, and deliverables are described on our pricing and service pages and may change with reasonable notice.

Tier access and upgrades

Higher tiers include access to features available on lower tiers. You may upgrade or downgrade through Billing. Upgrades generally take effect immediately after successful payment. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period unless Stripe proration rules provide otherwise. Workspace data generally carries forward when you upgrade; downgrades may limit access to features above your new tier.

Your account and conduct

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and use the platform lawfully. You are responsible for documents you upload and submissions you make to universities, scholarship bodies, and authorities. Do not upload false documents, impersonate others, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the service, or misuse AI outputs as official legal or immigration advice.

Scope of preparation support

Pathway Pro and Pathway Elite include workspace tools aligned to a focused application scope: up to 3 destination countries in screening outputs, up to 3 university application slots, 3 programme targets, 3 scholarship targets, and one enrolled destination path for relocation tooling where applicable. These limits are product scope boundaries, not guarantees of admission, funding, or visa approval.

Payments and billing

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled in the Stripe customer portal accessible from Billing. Prices shown at checkout prevail if they differ from marketing pages during a transition. Taxes may apply where required by law. Failed payments may suspend access until resolved.

Cancellation and Document Management Locker

You may cancel anytime from Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; full plan access continues until the end of the current paid billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout. After that, you can still download submitted profile data and exports you created while subscribed, typically for up to 12 months. Live tools such as search and AI features pause until you resubscribe. After the retention period, data may be deleted subject to legal retention obligations.

Cooling-off and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days in certain circumstances. Because digital services begin immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that access may start before the withdrawal period ends and statutory rights may be limited once performance begins, as permitted by applicable law. Refund requests outside Stripe's normal billing flow may be sent to hello@gaarsia.com with your account email and payment reference within 24 hours of an initial charge where applicable law provides a cooling-off remedy. We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, visa outcomes, or offer refunds based on application results.

Advisor messaging

Where your plan or engagement includes advisor messaging, advisors provide professional guidance through the platform. Response times are not guaranteed unless separately agreed in writing. Advisors do not submit applications or attend embassy interviews on your behalf unless a separate written service agreement explicitly says otherwise.

AI and generated content

Scores, reports, document audits, and assistant replies may be generated automatically. You must review all outputs before relying on them for applications or visa submissions. Gaarsia is not responsible for errors in AI-generated drafts if you submit them without independent review.

Intellectual property

Pathway Score diagnostic, Pathway Pro roadmap report, templates, and exports are licensed to you for personal preparation use. Gaarsia retains all rights in platform software, methodologies, branding, and underlying intelligence systems. You may not resell, republish, or commercially redistribute Gaarsia outputs without written permission.

Legacy agreements

If you entered a separate written agreement with Gaarsia before August 2026 for legacy one-time advisory services, that agreement governs those specific fees and deliverables. Public offers on www.gaarsia.com are monthly subscriptions unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

Availability and changes

We may update features, pricing, or these Terms with notice where required by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may perform maintenance or suspend accounts for security or abuse.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gaarsia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from admission, funding, visa, or relocation outcomes. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to paid subscriptions is limited to the fees you paid to Gaarsia for the relevant plan in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Courts in Copenhagen have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in consumer arbitration boards but will respond to good-faith complaints at hello@gaarsia.com.
